At Cypress View Children’s Home our mission is to serve abused, neglected, and vulnerable children by providing safe, loving, Christ-centered homes that endeavor to meet each child’s individual needs.

We believe that every child should have a safe home.

At the end of December 2024, according to the Department of Social Services, there were
almost 10,899 children in foster care in North Carolina and only about 5,000 foster homes.

Our vision is simple - safe, loving homes where children have an opportunity to thrive.

Cypress View is a neighborhood-style, residential community of family homes in Dunn, NC to care for children and adolescents in foster care and those privately placed. Each home operates just like a family with a foundation of support for both parents and children provided by the organization and the community. Cypress View desires to be a place where children can experience healing, belonging, and hope, to cultivate rich soil where roots grow deep and change is generational.

Our Story

After spending a season as foster parents and adopting two of our children from foster care in Harnett County, my husband and I saw firsthand the overwhelming need for safe, loving homes for abused, neglected, and vulnerable children, especially in eastern North Carolina.
During that time, God planted in our hearts a vision: a community of family-style homes dedicated to serving these children.

Years later, an impromptu dinner with friends revealed that Lord had also planted the seed in their hearts for the same kind of work!
That evening, we began to dream together, and the vision for Cypress View Children’s Home started to take shape.

Since then, God has brought together a beautifully and uniquely gifted team to help lead and serve in this work.
In partnership with Big Oak Ranch, Cypress View Children’s Home is now coming to life. We have developed a site plan and individual house plans for our almost 20-acre property in Dunn, and we are actively fundraising to begin construction on our first two homes.

I am continually humbled to be part of the story God is writing through Cypress View Children’s Home. I remain committed to working faithfully and with excellence for the glory of God and for the good of the children we will serve. They are worth it.
